The foundation International Conference for Truth, Justice and Peace wants to organize an international conference.

Date : 25th and 26th June 2019
Location : Peace Palace, The Hague, The Netherlands, Amrath Kurhaus Hotel, Parliament
Background : The year 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the 1967 ‘Six Day War’ between Israel and her neighbors, in which Israel gained control over East Jerusalem, the West Bank and other  ‘Territories’.

This year is also the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, issued by the British government, that led to the San Remo resolution (1920), the Mandate for Palestine (1922) and ultimately to the creation of the State of Israel (1948).

Since the mid 1970’s, international diplomats have taken a lot of effort to promote an Arab-Israeli peace agreement by presuming that the claimed Palestinian rights to statehood and sovereignty over all of the territories are well founded on the basis of international law and that competing Israeli claims with respect to these Territories lack a legal basis. So far, all these efforts have failed and an increasing number of voices are questioning these legal claims.

In the 2018 conference there will be a review of the international legal framework, that is applicable to the status of the Territories in question, next to a public study  referring the relevance of international law to the wording used by foreign policy.
